We believe without hesitation that salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9). Jesus Himself declared that we must be born again (John 3:3), meaning that every person must turn from their own ways and follow Him, accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior. Salvation is a gift of grace, received through faith and repentance (Ephesians 2:8-9).
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12). It is the foundation for our faith, guiding us in truth, wisdom, and righteousness. We uphold every word of Scripture as God-breathed, and we strive to live according to its teachings with conviction and obedience.
We embrace the biblical model of Five-Fold Ministry (Ephesians 4:11-13), recognizing that God has appointed apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip and strengthen the church. Our desire is to see the Body of Christ fully functioning in its calling, with each member walking in the gifts and purpose God has given them (1 Corinthians 12:4-11).
We have accepted the challenge to shift the atmosphere wherever we go (Acts 4:31). Whether in our everyday lives, workplaces, families, or communities, we are called to carry the presence of God and cultivate an environment of faith, healing, and transformation (Matthew 5:14-16, Romans 12:2).
We were created for a deep, personal relationship with our heavenly Father (John 15:4-5). At The Cove Church, we teach believers how to enter into God’s presence, develop an intimate walk with Him, and seek His voice in everyday life (Jeremiah 29:13, James 4:8). Though challenges may come, our hearts and actions will always honor Him. We love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19), and our mission is to reflect that love—not only to the lost and the found but to the wounded and searching as well.
We stand firmly on the teachings and demonstrations of Jesus. The miracles He performed were not just for the past, but for today as well (John 14:12, John 21:25). We believe in signs, wonders, and the power of the Holy Spirit to move in tangible ways (Mark 16:17-18, Hebrews 13:8). Jesus didn’t stop working when He ascended—His Spirit continues to heal, restore, and set people free.
We believe in the goodness of God and the deception of the enemy (Acts 10:38, Psalm 107:1, 1 Peter 5:8, John 8:44). God’s nature is love, restoration, and victory (Romans 8:28), while the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10)—but Jesus has already overcome (Colossians 2:15, 1 John 3:8)!
While believers are sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13), they may still encounter spiritual battles and challenges. However, in Christ, we are never powerless—we have been given authority to stand firm, resist the enemy, and walk in freedom (James 4:7, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5).
We believe in deliverance as a biblical practice, where Jesus sets people free, strengthens them, and restores peace (Luke 4:18, Matthew 10:1). This is not about fear—this is about embracing God’s victory, His protection, and the confidence we have in Him. No matter the challenge, Christ has already overcome, and through Him, so will we!
God has given His people keys to victorious living (1 Corinthians 15:57, Romans 8:37, 2 Corinthians 2:14). Through faith and obedience, we walk in authority, confidence, and strength, knowing that we are more than conquerors in Christ (Isaiah 41:10, 1 John 5:4).
We believe we are called to a powerful purpose, and that the supernatural should be a normal part of the believer’s life (Mark 16:17, Matthew 10:8, Luke 10:19). Jesus taught us to cast out demons, heal the sick, and operate in the gifts of the Spirit—and we boldly step into that calling today (Acts 2:17, 1 Corinthians 2:4-5).
Equips the believer: Jesus tells us in Mark 16: 15-18, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Do you know what that means!?!?! We get to actually DO THINGS! The Cove is a place where you can learn how to operate in the spiritual gifts, how to cast out demons, and how to pray for the sick with expectation of God’s goodness to manifest in healing! We are not only a community to build friendships, but to become equipped to do what Jesus did!
Builds Community: We seek to create an environment where like minded believers can gather together to encourage and build each other up in the faith! Even God had his own community in the Trinity, and we were created in his image. There is something about being around others striving after God that helps keep you on track. Iron sharpens iron, and we were created to do life together! That’s why we have several venues to begin building those relationships that we so deeply need. We have weekly Wednesday night supper, men’s and women’s groups, youth group, monthly covered dish, family nights, worship nights, and many more social activities.
